Established
in 1931, the Board is charged with protecting the health, safety, and welfare of the
public by registering and regulating architects.
Governance
The Board's law, rules and regulations,
and the Code for Professional Conduct provide guidance
for registered architects as well as the limitations of non-registered persons.
Registration Information
Architects can be registered in a number of ways: Examination,
Reciprocity, or Reinstatement
of a lapsed registration.
Continuing Education
Registered architects in Alabama must complete twelve hours of continuing
education per year to renew their registration.
